Everyone is having fun today since we are celebrating the resurrection of our savior Jesus Christ. Most of my neighbors together with their family spent their day at the beach to celebrate Easter Sunday. For us Filipinos, this is one way of reuniting with our family and friends. So, mostly there family reunions and friends gathering happened today. There are people also simply celebrate this important day through attending church service and joining church activities. But the question is do we really still know the reason behind the resurrection of Jesus Christ; the reason why we celebrate Easter Sunday; and the real truth about the death and resurrection. Maybe yes or no right? No worries, I will share to you what I have learned about it from my church pastor today.

"The Truth about Jesus Death and Resurrection"

It takes few people to know the truth and the reason of His death and resurrection. And those are the people who understand and tend to have relationship to God.

Romans 6:23 "For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord."

The Truth about Jesus Death and Resurrection

The truth about Jesus Christ death is to give us a new life to be born again. Not literally meant born again from your mother's womb but to buried our old life together with our bad attitudes and personality and be born embracing a new life full of God's love and purpose.

Reflection: It's better to ask forgiveness today to those people whom you show hatred to them and reconcile to your enemies. To those who hatred on you, love them more than you love before. Even Jesus who never surrender give His life for the sake of love. In the mercy of God, we receive His forgiveness even when we do what we know to be wrong. God chooses to wipe away our sins, not because we have some convenient excuse, and not because we have tried hard to make up for them, but because He is a God of amazing grace, with mercies that are new every morning.

Luke 24:36-38 "While they were still talking about this, Jesus himself stood among them and said to them, “Peace be with you.”They were startled and frightened, thinking they saw a ghost.
He said to them, “Why are you troubled, and why do doubts rise in your minds?

The Truth about Jesus Death and Resurrection

The disciples were in doubt when Jesus appeared to them. So Jesus told them the marks of the nails on his hands and feet. They simply forget those times that Jesus taught them parables, healing sick people and showing unconditional love to people. They doubted the resurrection of him. So, on these statements what comes to my mind is that true believers of Jesus Christ must not be in doubt since we know already what he can do in our life to make us a worthy person to be loved. During your times of fall, depression and feeling down be reminded that Jesus is always with you, love you and care about you. Going near to him and pray is the best solution of your problems you have encountered in your life.

So be a living testimony like me who will teach the truth about the real reason of Jesus death and resurrection and the purpose of why you are here in this world. Isn't amazing how powerful his death to save us from all our sins and his resurrection to give us a new life.

Do you have a testimony to tell you and a prayer request you can visit our church site here.

So let's enjoy life for the greater glory of God and let the death and resurrection of Jesus must manifest in your life.
